We are implementing the Child Safe Standards
At Tweed Coast Community Church we are committed to providing places, services and programs that promote physical, emotional and spiritual health and safety, and model the love of Christ to all whom we have contact with, particularly children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Working With Children Checks (WWCC)
All volunteers and paid members of staff who work with children have a unique WWCC number, which is now a statutory obligation in New South Wales. This WWCC number verifies that a person has been cleared to work with children.
Safe Ministry (Child Protection) Training
All volunteers and paid members of staff who work with children have received hands-on training in safe ministry policies and procedures through ‘Creating Safe Spaces’ (the accrediting body for Safe Ministry training in the Baptist Church). This training and accreditation is renewed every three years.
During all child-related activities and ministries, children are supervised by adults, and best practice is observed in relation to the ratio of adults to children.
